What the other guides do not tell you
The official Chinese registries — GSXT, Qichacha, Tianyancha, Aiqicha — are blocked from Europe. Tianyancha answers, word for word, "access is temporarily not supported in your current location". Guides telling you to use them send you into a wall. The two checks below run in your browser: nothing to install, nothing that can be geo-blocked.

The 5 checks before you wire money
- Ask for the business licence (营业执照) as a readable scan. A refusal, a delay, or "we will send it after the order": stop there.
- Run the USCI number and the business scope through the two fields above.
- Check that the bank account holder matches the Chinese company name on the licence, character for character. Personal account, WeChat Pay or third-party company: stop, no negotiation.
- If invoicing goes through a Hong Kong entity — very common — verify it for free on the official HK registry, in English.
- Never pay 100% upfront. 30% deposit maximum, balance after a passing inspection.
Independent verification, usable from Europe
These checks rule out crude fakes in seconds. They do not replace an independent report before a first significant payment.
Why this tool?
Almost every sourcing guide tells you to verify a Chinese supplier for free on GSXT, Qichacha or Tianyancha. Tested from a French IP: all four registries are geo-blocked. Tianyancha answers word for word "access is temporarily not supported in your current location", and GSXT redirects to a real-name registration requiring Chinese ID. That advice simply does not work from Europe. This tool does what remains possible, and it is a lot: it validates the structure of the USCI number (GB 32100-2015, ISO 7064 MOD 11-2 check digit), confirms the code belongs to a commercial company, extracts the administrative division code to cross-check against the city claimed, and sorts the business scope (经营范围) between manufacturing and trading. A number typed at random has roughly a one in thirty-one chance of passing the check digit. Everything is computed locally: no data sent, nothing that can be geo-blocked.
